Bridges in Seventh Heaven!
After going three up inside the first fourteen minutes, Bridges eventually stuck seven past the last team to have beaten them in the League. Connor French led the way with four goals and was rightly named Man of the Match, but on another day any one of the other three Bridges scorers could have taken that accolade.
Jamie Crellin had seen a header cleared off the lobe after just four minutes, but in the eleventh minute a free kick from the left by John Lansdale found the Bridges skipper, and this time his header was perfectly placed beyond keeper Benjamin Purkis.
Two minutes later Brannon O'Neill delivered a corner from the right and LANSDALE was first to react with a smart close range volley. And within another minute, Tyrone Berry robbed a defender and drove his shot against the near post, the rebound falling perfectly for FRENCH to have the simplest of finishes.
East Preston then managed to sort themselves out at the back, but two minutes into the second half Lansdale cane close with a free kick and in the 49th minute both Lansdale and French were involved in the move started and finished brilliantly by O'NEILL.
But Bridges then had a five minute spell when just about everything went wrong. After 58 minutes Crellin was cautioned for a foul and substitute JACK BARNES drilled the resulting free kick through a crowded goalmouth straight into Kieron Thorp's goal. And after 62 minutes a cross by Barnes wax nudged on by Asa Nicholson for JACK HERYET to apply the final touch.
Crellin had another header blocked on the line as Lansdale delivered another dangerous free kick, but after 69 minutes another Lansdale cross found FRENCH, who chested it down before stabbing home.
FRENCH completed his hat trick with a 74th minute drive and after 78 minutes FRENCH struck again after a great run down the left to complete Bridges' biggest win for three seasons.
